Provost of Fence
Provost of Fence (Rapier Marshall) Thorbjorn Askni Mila Faer (reporting deputy) Coordinates practices and safety for rapier combatants. Checks equipment and organizes marshalling at events.
Duties include:
Attend monthly Populace Meetings.
Obtain and maintain Baronial loaner rapier gear.
Organize and run rapier practices.
Promote safety amongst our rapier fighters.
Make sure armor is up to SCA standards.
Get waivers signed and delivered to the Master of Stables.
Warrant new fighters, renew fighter cards for established fighters, train and warrant marshals.
Perform duties of Marshal-in-Charge at all Glymm Mere events.
Make sure proper paperwork is completed for events regarding rapier, including any incident reports.
Organize water bearers, lists, erecting and dismantling the eric.
Report Quarterly to the Western Regional Marshal, and the Glymm Mere Seneschal.
If it pertains to rapier, within the confines of the SCA, inside the geographical boundaries of Glymm Mere, it’s your baby. Help it grow, keep it safe.
Special Training Required:
Being a Junior Marshal, as a minimum, but being a Senior Marshal is preferred.
