- v It was announced that this meeting is being tape recorded
to the facilitate accuracy of the minutes.
v The Calendar was sent around.
v His Excellency announced that there will be a War Moot in Blatha
An Oir on November 14th. It is not an official event, so no
site fees will be charged.
v Her Excellency thanked Mistress Fjorleif and Lady Maeva for
constructing the test web site as part of their Letter of Intent
for the office of Web Minister. Her Excellency is still accepting
Letters of Intent from anyone who is interested in the office.
v A concern was brought that there was personal information posted
on the test web page. Maeva clarified that it was only the contact
information for the officers and that she has not been contacted
by any of them requesting the information be removed.
v Our Seneschal had been contacted regarding the formation of
a Shire dedicated to the nautical arts. After being reminded
that a shire cannot be dedicated to only one aspect but must
serve all interests in the SCA, the group is reconsidering and
may instead form a guild or a branch of an existing guild.
v Her Excellency requested recommendations for both Baronial
and Kingdom awards from the populace in preparation for Samhain
and Yule.
v The Exchequer reported that there was a balance of $27,529.28
with $14,504.38 in obligated funds and $13,025.91 in non-obligated
funds.
v The Financial Committee is recommending that the Barony Sponsor
the Archery Allthing on June 24, 25, & 26. The Populace
approved the motion to sponsor the event.
v The Chatelaine reported that she has had contact with several
people and exchanged information.
v The Marshal reported via the Seneschal that he will be stepping
down at the event following Yule, whichever that might be, in
February.
v Baroness Catriona has withdrawn her proposal for the Just Deserts
event, so we are in need of an autocrat for Court of Love.
v The Archer reported that Archery Practice will be moving to
1pm on Sundays as of October 17th.
v The Scoring year for Royal Rounds ends on October 31st.
v The Archer will be ordering new loaner equipment that will
be needed in the coming year.
v The Chirurgeon had nothing to report.
v The Constable had nothing to report.
v The Herald reported that Heraldry was still happening on the
3rd Tuesday at Baron David's home.
v Serena Lyons has submitted a Letter of Intent for the Office
of Herald.
v The Chronicler reported no changes in subscriptions.
v There has been a Special Edition printed for the Polling.
v The Web Minister reported that there have been problems with
the SmartGroups list. It is being resolved.
v Wittenhaven is in hiatus at this time.
v The Seneschal has a new deputy.
v The Chamberlaine reported that the signs will be repaired next.
v Arts and Sciences reported that part singing will resume on
the 3rd Monday of October. Mistress Fjorleif relayed that it
will continue on the 1st & 3rd Monday and that Instrumental
Music will resume on Sunday nights as arranged.
v There was a contest sponsored by our Scribe to name the 2nd
level Baronial A & S award. The winner will be announced
at Samhain.
v Lady Cigne has suggested some new A & S events and an A
& S demo. Mistress Elisa will contact her to get more information.
v Mistress Elisa applauded Vasilisa Myshkina for working to create
a medieval atmosphere for Yule.
v Daedin announced that there will be a sign work party at her
house October 13th.
v The Governing Document Committee is suspended until early next
year.
v Brenna Lorne reported that Samhain is underway. The autocrat
has given birth to her son, Brandon!
v Saturday night of the An Tir Administration Retreat is open
to the populace for a social Night. There will not be a site
fee but donations will be accepted.
v The Barony will not have to cover additional travel expenses
for the An Tir Administrative Retreat as the person will be available
to attend.
v Yule Feast will be the first Saturday of December. There have
been 16 reservations received by the autocrat to date.
v Maeva has created a menu, but is still being refined. There
will be goat cheese, a pea or bean potage, frumente, sausages,
hen pies, roasted root vegetables, winter greens, apple sauce,
and spicy sweet bread with dried fruit. Maeva requested that
anyone with barley or wheat allergies can contact her.
v Site opens at 2pm. Any who come early shall not be admitted.
Site closes at 2am.
v Her Ladyship Natasha Zateeva has offered to accept toys and
see them delivered for those who would like to donate. Please
do not bring them into the hall. Those who wish to donate can
contact Her Ladyship and arrange to have them collected.
v As the Hall will be Enchanted Ground, there will be no electric
lighting. Candles are permitted, but must be enclosed.
v The October Business Meeting was adjourned for the Candidate
Meet & Greet.
