- v It was announced that this meeting is being tape recorded
to the facilitate accuracy of the minutes.
v The Calendar was sent around.
v The minutes were approved with the following corrections:
¨ "The Barony will not have to cover additional travel
expenses for the An Tir Administrative Retreat as the person
will be available to attend." should read "unable to
attend."
¨ The two following points should be a single point as it
all refers to Yule Feast.
v The Letter from Their Majesties was read as published in the
November Looking Glass.
v The Archer reported that there was a day of York Rounds the
previous Sunday. The shooting year has ended and all future
scores will be on the new shooting year.
v Their Excellencies have received the Letter of Resignation
for our Web Minister, Lord Jon Erik. They have received Letters
of Intent from members of the Populace to succeed him and will
continue to do so.
v The Herald has received a Letter of Intent from Serena Lyons.
v Her excellency also mentioned the open positions of Gold Key
and will be openings for Chirurgeon and Marshall after Yule.
v Their Excellencies will be attending the Administrative Retreat,
Crown Council, and hopefully a War Moot in Blatha An Oir.
v Their Excellencies thanked the Populace for participation in
the polling process.
v Their Excellencies thanked the Populace for letting them be
our Baron and Baroness for the past three years - it was very,very
wonderful.
v His Excellency thanked the Candidates for running.
v The Seneschal reported that there are several Officer Reports
that she had not received.
v The Seneschal announced that she will be stepping down as soon
as a suitable replacement can be found. Neither of the Deputy
Seneschals are prepared to take the office. Please contact the
Seneschal if you are interested.
v The Exchequer reported that we have $28,516.32 combined in
Checking and Savings, total obligated funds of $1,644.35, total
in Savings $10,004.79, total unobligated funds $15,367.18.
v The Populace approved that we should hold Court of Love.
v The Financial Committee recommended approval of a budget of
$1,000 ($500 of which is refundable) for Court of Love submitted
by Lady Aelisia. The Populace approved the budget.
v The following Officer Budgets totaling $5,080 were recommended
for approval by the Financial Committee and approved by the Populace:
¨ $300 for the Coronets
§ $150 increase for chairs, boxes, awards, etc.
¨ $100 for the Seneschal
§ $10 increase
¨ $50 for A & S
§ $90 decrease
¨ $100 for the Chatelaine
§ Increased for purchase of the Known World Handbook
¨ $50 for the Gold Key
¨ $50 for the Chirugeonate
¨ $75 for the Constable
§ Increased to replace communication equipment.
¨ $1000 for the Chronicler
§ $660.72 still remains from previous fundraising
¨ $175 for the Web Minister
§ New line item, formerly part of the Chronicler
¨ $80 for the Exchequer
¨ $2500 for the Chamberlaine
§ Increase of $282 for repairs.
§ New storage facilities will be researched.
¨ $100 for the Herald
§ Increase of $50
¨ $50 for the Scribe
¨ $150 for the Marshal
§ Increased to repair loner equipment.
¨ $100 for the Archer
¨ $200 for gas to haul the Pavillion.
v The Chatelaine was not present but had nothing to report.
v The Marshal was not present but had nothing to report.
v The A & S Minister reported on A & S events:
¨ Singing and Instrumental Music nights have restarted at
Elizabeth and Eleanor's.
¨ Sewing, etc. is on Monday nights. They were making masks
prior to Samhain and are now working on garb.
¨ There was a work party at Vasilisa's to work on banners
for Yule.
v The Chirurgeon will be stepping down at Yule.
v The Constable was not present but had nothing to report.
v The Herald reported that though Heraldry Consultation on the
3rd Tuesdays is continuing Heraldry Commentary will be in abeyance
until a new Lion's Blood Herald is chosen - Baron David of Moffat
is the interim Lion's Blood Herald.
v Every 3rd Sunday will be Lion's Blood Meetings at Baron David's
home.
v The Herald encouraged anyone who is still interested in the
office to submit their Letter of Intent as Serena Lyons has been
accepted and a choice may be made at Yule.
v The Scribe reported that there are 4 new awards and that there
will be need for new scrolls. Anyone interested in assisting
please contact her.
v The Scribe reported that she is still working on the new Baronial
Service Award as all entries had conflicts. New ideas are wanted.
v The Chronicler reported that there are a couple of new subscriptions,
but that it is time to renew subscriptions for next year.
v Wittenhaven remains on hiatus, though the Seneschal has been
in contact with people who have expressed interest mainly in
the Evergreen Medieval Club but also possibly reactivating the
College of Wittenhaven.
v The Chamberlain reports that the work parties have nearly completed
restoration of the signs.
v The Chamberlain has contacted someone who may be willing to
fix the Baronail Pavillion. She will be meeting with him to
discuss the matter in more detail.
v The Governing Document Committee is suspended until early next
year.
v Her Ladyship Rhonwen Wynterbourne reported that Samhain event
lost about $240, but that it was a very fun event.
v Her Excellency announced that at Samhain Lady Jamesina O'Shanahan
and Her Ladyship Kateryn of Falconkeep received the Ewer.
v Daedin reported The Administrative Retreat was set to break
even.
v Daedin reported that the Saturday Night Revel will be great!
Many officers from the Society and the Kingdom will be present.
v Daedin thanked everyone for their help and support.
v Lady Vasilisa Myshkina reported that there were between 70
- 80 registrations for the feast at Yule.
v Lady Vasilisa reminded everyone that Their Highnesses will
be attending Yule.
v Lady Maeva announced that Lady Tangwystyl verch Morgandt Glasvryn
will be coming in January and is seeking space for classes that
she will be teaching.
v Mistress Gorandookht Mamigonian announced that she represented
the Barony as our Bardic Champion by singing at Harvest Fest.
v Mistress Goran also reminded everyone that Court of Love will
be host to the Bardic Championship and that she would be happy
to answer any questions prospective participants may have.
