Unto Their Royal Majesties Cedric Rolfsson and Elizabeth Owles, Their Excellencies Wolfgang von Bremen and Juliana MacPherson, and to the populous of Glymm Mere do Honorable Lord Mahee of Acre and Lady Medb ingen Domnaill ui Somhairle send our humble greetings.

We, Mahee and Medb, do humbly submit ourselves for your consideration as the next Baron and Baroness of Glymm Mere. We have been proud to call Glymm Mere our home for the last four years. During our time in the barony we have both held offices and been stewards of events. We have learned much about our beloved barony and all her people, and feel that we are respected as well as liked. Our 10 years of experiences in the SCA has been very broad, and we feel it would be beneficial to the continued growth and prosperity of our great barony.

If we are given the honor of becoming the next Baron and Baroness of Glymm Mere we pledge to continue the excellent leadership that the barony and her people have enjoyed for years. We recognize the need for continuity and for peaceful membership and will do everything in our power to maintain the positive and productive atmosphere that has been this baronies strength. We promise to work closely with the seneschal and officers of the Barony to insure harmony and peace, as well as an environment of fun and friendship. We desire to promote the barony throughout the kingdom, providing a voice for every member from the youngest child to the highest peer with recommendations and praise. We pledge our time and commit our selves and our efforts to leading both through example and through word. We promise that no deed will be unnoticed, no service will go unthanked and skill will be both praised and held up for others to see and appreciate.

Russell G. Husted

Mahee has been an active participant and member of the SCA for ten years. During his time in Glymm Mere he has done many things. He was the autocrat of Academy de la Renaissance, and is an Ithra Chancellor in Training. He holds the office of Baronial Scribe and co-steward of the retinue for Wolfgang and Juliana. He received the Crystal of Glymm Mere (NA, 2006) and the Red Hart of Glymm Mere (NA, 2006), holds authorization as a Rapier Marshal and Senior Heavy Marshal, is cadet to Don Wolfgang von Bremen and rapier champion for Fire Mountain Keep.

Before coming to Glymm Mere, Mahee was also active in his canton, barony and kingdom. He was apprenticed to Mistress Shanahan the Fey and received an Iris of Merit (GoA, 2002) and a Sable Thistle of Ansteorra (AoA, 2000) for kingdom level work in the arts and sciences. He has also received his baronies kingdom level service award the Serpents Toils of Loch Soilleir (AOA, 2003), the Sable Crane of Ansteorra (AOA, 2000) a kingdom level service award, and his Award of Arms (AOA, 1999). He was also honored with one of the two King's Gauntlet of Ansteorra (NA, 2004) given by HRM Ulsted the Unsteady for outstanding personal service to the Crown.

Also, before coming to Glymm Mere, Mahee held a variety of offices: Royal, Regional and Baronial Scribe, Regional and Baronial Archery Marshal, and Baronial and Youth Rapier Marshal.

Russell has been a middle school teacher for twenty years as well as many years in adult education. His current teaching position is as a master teacher/teacher coach and intervention specialist, training teacher how to reach hard-to-teach students and holds a Masters of Arts in Education. He has often held the additional job of Department Head.

Russell has held a variety of offices in volunteer organizations such as a President and First Vice President of a Lions Club as well as Treasure and Deacon for church congregations.

He has demonstrated excellent qualities in group management, peer counseling and event organization and has served as a successful leader in a variety of arenas.

Rachel A. Husted

Medb had played in the SCA and has been an active participant for 10 years. During her time in Glymm Mere she has spent 2 years as Chatelaine providing a point of contact for newcomers and those wishing demonstrations. Medb was the autocrat of The Evening at the White Boars Inn in Feb 2006 and the feastocrat for 1001.5 Arabian Nights in Feb 2007. Medb has served as a member of retinue for Wolfgang and Juliana since they stepped up 3 years ago. Medb has received both the Crystal of Glymm Mere in 2006 and the Red Hart of Glymm Mere in 2007 for her service and participation in the arts.

Before moving to this barony Medb was active in her previous SCA home. She served two years as baronial herald and two years as chronicler. Medb was also the autocrat for Loch Soilleir's Yule, Torre de los Brazos's 12th Night, and co feast steward for Loch Guardian. Medb received her AOA in 1999, The Sable Crane of Ansteorra, a kingdom level service award in 2001, and her barony's kingdom level service award, The Serpent's Toils of Loch Soilleir, in 2002.

In her modern life Rachel has been a stay at home wife and mother for almost 20 years, serving as the center of the home, budgeting, scheduling and making time for the diverse activities of her family. Recently Rachel has returned to college to pursue an associate's degree in Paraprofessional Education and has achieved a grade point average of 3.92. With only three courses remaining Rachel is looking forward to entering the field of education at the beginning of the next school year.

Rachel possesses excellent qualities in leadership, peer counseling and dispute resolution. She is skilled in time management, communications and multitasking.
