Unto King Cedric and Queen Elizabeth, Baron Wolfgang and Baroness Juliana, and the populace of the glorious Barony of Glymm Mere do Lord Johann Matheusson and Lady Francisca de Montoya send most humble greetings. It is with heavy heart that we acknowledge the desire of Baron Wolfgang and Baroness Juliana to step down as the Coronets of Glymm Mere. With this event in mind, we offer ourselves as candidates for their successors. Lord Johann (mka John Edwards) has been in the SCA for ten years. He has had the honor of being Man-at-Arms for both Sir Walter of Minstead and Sir Garan, to whom he is now squire. He has held the office of Master of Stables for the Barony of Glymm Mere and is currently Beevarian Captain. Lord Johann is proud to be a member of the Order of the Crystal of Glymm Mere as well as a member of retinue to Baron Wolfgang and Baroness Juliana. In addition to his accomplishments as a heavy fighter he also takes part in rapier competition. He has competed in siege cooking and has offered up his armoring and woodworking for A&S displays. Lord Johann was also the autocrat for Glymm Mere's Yule Feast 2007 and has volunteered in various capacities at both local and Kingdom-wide events. Lady Francisca (mka Heidi Edwards) has been an enthusiastic participant in Glymm Mere for five years. During that time she has served as Baronial Chirurgeon, Deputy Seneschal and is currently Baronial Seneschal. Lady Francisca is also a proud member of the Order of the Crystal of Glymm Mere and serves on Their Excellencies retinue. She has also volunteered as camp cook and encampment coordinator for the last three years. Lady Francisca sponsored and helped judge the siege cooking contest at Honey War 2007. She was also co-autocrat and co-feastcrat for Yule 2007 and has volunteered whenever possible at local and Kingdom-wide events. John and Heidi both have extensive experience working and dealing with a wide variety of people in modern life. John served for ten years in the Army as a Military Police Officer and worked four years with the DEA. After leaving the military he managed a security patrol company for five years and has worked as a machinist, mechanic, warehouse laborer, and maintenance supervisor. He currently works for a civilian contractor, training soldiers and preparing them for their deployments. Heidi has worked in various forms of customer service most of her working life. She started in the restaurant industry working her way up to assistant manager. She worked both fast food and full service for a well respected company in Seattle. She then went to work in retail sales becoming store manager and regional assistant manager for Color Tile Stores. Heidi has since done customer service work in the wholesale tile, clothing and craft industries and is now employed at DSHS for the State of Washington. We are both very impressed with the work done and forward progress made by Baron Wolfgang and Baroness Juliana. Having been on Their Excellencies retinue we have seen the hard work, care and dedication it takes to bring a barony together and raise it to new levels. If given the opportunity to fill the vacancy they leave, we intend to continue drawing the people of the Barony together in service to the Kingdom. We'd like to help foster a sense of community, family and- as is typical for our Barony- silliness in all that we do as a Barony. We'd also like to see the Barony of Glymm Mere more recognized throughout the Knowne World for her people's loyalty, chivalry, creativity, artistry and other talents. We understand that wearing the Coronets carries great responsibility and we believe we are ready for that honorable duty. Thank you for your time and attention to our letter of interest. We
look forward to answering any questions regarding our positions on Baronial
issues. Please feel free to contact us should questions, of any nature,
arise. Lord Johann Matheusson Lady Francisca de Montoya
