The spring is coming and with it the Barony of Glymm Mere prepares to
celebrate the warmer weather! The most generous Baron Johann
Matheusson and radiant Baroness Francisca de Montoya invite you to
join us for...
A Mayfaire to Remember!
Held May 12 and 13 at the Thurston County Fairgrounds, there will be
much fun, frolicking, fighting and fabulous entertainment to be had.
The Shield of Glymm Mere and Baronial Rapier Champion will be
determined as well as Serjeantry candidates being tried by our lovely
Baroness. Singers, storytellers and game-players are invited to share
their skills with all in attendance. Merchants, lawn games, prizes and
more await you at Mayfaire!

The Baronial Ball

The Baronial Ball
I humbly invite all of you to join our celebration to the past,
present and future Barons and Baronesses of Glymm Mere
Glymm Mere is honored to have had and continue to have such
outstanding persons serving the Barony they honor us with their
contribution and enrichment to us all.
Thus the Baronial Ball shall occur on February 18th 2012 from 5pm to
midnight at Harmony Masonic Lodge 521 North St, SE Tumwater, WA 98501
As the name of the event implies this is a Ball. There will be
musicians and with those same musicians an opportunity to get out on
the floor and dance. So wear your finery and show off your foot work.
What would a Ball be without libations to invigorate and fortify. You
can bring that which helps to loosen those weather weary muscles and
warms up those frosty joints.
And to keep your energy level up some finger food is being provided.

Ham salad with black olives

Assorted veggies
This is an adult themed event for individuals 16 and up.
Gate fee is $10.00

Greetings!
We would like to thank HL Dunstan, Lady Viena and their event and kitchen teams for a fantastic Yule! The activities were varied and entertaining, the hall looked great, the opportunity to see so many people was very nice, the food was delicious and there was certainly plenty of it! Congratulations to the winners of the tournaments; His Excellency Wolfgang for Rapier and Lord Ragnar for Heavy. Congratulations also to the winner of the bardic competition, Mistress Isolde, and to our new Brewing Champion, Lord Kirill.. We also said good-bye to HL Dunstan as Glymm Mere's Seneschal and welcomed HL Muireann to the job. Huzzah to all of the award recipients as well;there were many Kingdom and Baronial awards given to very deserving folks.
There were two new Baronial Awards unveiled at the event. The Golden Bell for excellence in the Arts and Sciences premier recipient was HL Vasilisa Myshkina and the premier recipient of Beacon of Glymm Mere for those who set a shining example in service was Elonda Blue Haven.

We were very happy that Their Majesties were able to attend and bestow Kingdom awards, witness Baronial awards and partake in the most excellent feast food.
We were also glad to have Their Excellencies of Blatha an Oir, Baron Aleksii and Baroness Elspeth join us. Well, we were happy until the very end of court. It would appear Their Excellencies are under the erroneous impression that HL Alaina Blackthorn's daughter, Abigail, should be taxed as a member of Blatha an Oir. As most all are aware HL Alaina, and therefore her child, are under the protection of His Excellency Johann's sword. As valued members of the Barony of Glymm Mere, we felt there was no choice but to defend Baby Abigail from this unfair tax. It would appear that, once again, come June there will be WAR. Be on the lookout for more information about Honey/Bacon War.
Thanks again to the Yule Feast staff for the hard work. We, and the rest of Glymm Mere, appreciate your efforts.

September business meeting
Greetings Good Gentles,
Theheretofore post-poned September business meeting has now been rescheduled for Monday September 12. The Financial meeting will begin at 6:15 and the Populace meeting will begin at 7:00 as usual. The location has (temporarily) changed, though. The meeting will be held at the Ashwood Downs Clubhouse at 2010 Ashwood Downs Lane SE.

Greetings,
We would like to thank all the people who attended Glymm Mere's Yule Feast. We saw many familiar faces mixed with some new ones too. A huge thank you to Lord Volk the Grey for putting the event together and to HL Francisca de Montoya for doing the Feastocrat duties. The food was wonderful and the hall was filled.
We held two Championships at Yule Feast and winners were HL Serena Zane for Bardic and Lily Gordon for Brewing. Congratulations to both of you and thank you to all the participants. The Yule Feast Rapier and Heavy tournaments were fought outside despite the rain, wind and mud. Congratulations to His Excellency Wolfgang Von Bremen for attaining victory with the Rapier and to HL Gerald de Huntington for his victory in the Heavy Tournament.
